About the Stacks Asia Foundation:

The Stacks Asia Foundation is a leader within the Stacks Ecosystem; a collection of independent entities, developers, and community members working to deliver on the promises of Web3. We do this by extending what can be built on Bitcoin, thereby unleashing the Bitcoin economy.

Role Overview:

Your job will be to grow the Stacks DeFi ecosystem to $1 billion total value locked (TVL), establishing sBTC as the dominant Bitcoin-backed asset in DeFi. You will be responsible for driving adoption across DeFi protocols, ensuring deep liquidity for sBTC pairs, and fostering integrations with key partners both within the Stacks ecosystem and across other blockchain networks (e.g., Solana, Aptos).

This role combines strategic thinking, ecosystem growth, and hands-on execution. You’ll work closely with DeFi teams, market makers, and liquidity providers to design and implement innovative liquidity and yield strategies. By leveraging your network, expertise in DeFi, and understanding of market trends, you’ll create the conditions for exponential sBTC adoption.

Your efforts will directly impact Stacks’ ability to extend Bitcoin’s functionality into new use cases, positioning sBTC as a cornerstone of decentralized finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute strategies to establish sBTC dominance in standard DeFi use cases (e.g., stables, DEXs, lending, perps) as well as emerging areas like tokenized assets and real-world assets (RWAs) across multiple chains.

  • Collaborate with market makers to develop robust liquidity strategies and incentive programs. Analyze market trends to inform effective liquidity deployment decisions.

  • Manage liquidity for critical trading pairs (e.g., sBTC/BTC, sBTC/stables, sBTC/STX) across decentralized exchanges, collateral pools, and LRTs.

  • Develop and manage pipelines with DeFi protocols interested in integrating sBTC. Understand their specific needs and propose tailored solutions to drive adoption.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in business development, partnership management, or ecosystem growth within the blockchain or tech industry, with a strong focus on DeFi.

  • Deep understanding of the Bitcoin and blockchain ecosystem and an avid DeFi user.

  • Established network of contacts in the blockchain space, including investors, developers, and institutions.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a global team.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in open-source technology, crypto, trading, market making or related fields.

  • Direct experience building TVL around an asset or DeFi ecosystem, with an understanding of effective incentive structures and deal-making.

  • Familiarity with Stacks and its ecosystem is a plus, particularly the functionality and applications of sBTC.

  • Prior experience in community building or developer advocacy, with a focus on DeFi initiatives.
